Braddock, PA Neon Sign

New Guild Studio has taken on the task of creating Braddock's newest and greatest welcome sign yet!

A monument to the steel industry in Braddock, PA, it is planned to have five projected hand painted layers, a laser cut aluminum front, and a crucible pouring neon lights into the Braddock name itself!  The step motion neon will be illuminated day and night as a beacon for those entering Braddock from the mill end of town.

This FIFTEEN foot wide behemoth was designed and is being built by New Guild's artists as a shining tribute to the town their business has called home since 1991.  Each panel is being lovingly painted by hand from images and references taken from Braddock's steel history.  The figures are beyond life size and show the strength of this small town.

Mayor John has faithfully donated the money to make this piece illuminated.  The neon motion effect was planned out to give the idea of steel being poured into a mold of the word BRADDOCK.  The crucible will have neon behind the cut out "pour" and there will be neon inside of the cut outs of each letter.  We thank the Mayor for the contribution he has arranged and for his faith in the ability of New Guild to capture the essence of his town.

Installation of the piece is determined on the neon production and is hopeful for September of this year.  We will be posting updates as they arrive.
