The clay sculpture, made by Dave Korns, was done in plasteline clay and painstakingly worked with clay tools to give the effect of a deep, three-dimensional scene of a pelican giving itself so its infants can survive which is an older, seldom used, representation of Christ. This piece is now finished and ready to be prepared to have a mold made from it. We will describe the mold making process in our next blog entry.
